Remarks * : Only available in Japanese.
Remarks : Discount is applicable for 3 or 5 year-lump sum subscription or payment by automatic debiting system. Contact our branch offices for details.
Remarks : These fees will be exempted on condition that the name and address of the legal entities which own the additional vehicles is identical with those of the entity that owns the first vehicle.

The applicants for Corporate members must register the registry numbers or vehicle numbers of their vehicles in advance.Only those vehicles with registered the registry numbers or vehicle numbers printed on the membership card are eligible for JAF’s road services at member rates.
The applicants for Individual members who pay their annual membership fee in 3-year lump sum get a 1,000 yen discount from the joining fee. Joining fee is completely exempted for those who pay their subscription fee in 5-year lump sum.
The applicants for Individual members arrange to pay their annual membership fee from the second year on by automatic debiting system get a 500 yen discount from the joining fee. Those who select the automatic debiting system payment option will automatically be covered by seat-belt accident insurance (worth 1 million yen).

How to Join JAF

1. At JAF counters across Japan
2. On the Internet (payment by credit card or at a convenience store)
3. By mailed application form / Annual membership fee payment form
(for payment at a financial institution or post office)

4. At automobile dealers and JAF agents across Japan

Change of Address and Other Procedures

Members are requested to contact JAF on JAF's website or at its branch office for change in address, application for automatic debiting system, application for family members, and other procedures.
Contact a JAF branch office to change the family name of the JAF membership cardholder in the case of marriage etc. or to request for a reissue of the card.

For Continued Membership

Automatic debiting of membership subscription:
    Contact the nearest JAF branch office to request an application form.
Payment of subscription:
    Members who have not chosen the automatic debiting option will receive a payment form for payment at a post office, bank or convenience store.

Advisory Service on Automobile Travel

photo1 Advisory service on automobile travel for members: JAF offers information on model driving courses and information related to automobile travel (only available in Japanese).
Advisory service on cars for members: JAF issues a leaflet that contains various tips on cars, titled “JAF’s Advice on This and That about Cars” (only available in Japanese).

Motor sports

As Japan's national motor sports authority in four-wheeled vehicles approved by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), JAF formulates various regulations, issues motor sports licenses, grants permission on competitive organizations, arbitrates conflicts, and conducts other activities for the sound development of motor sports in the country. JAF members (Individual members) can obtain a motor sports license by attending the accredited lecture classes. photo2
